About Mara Struwe
Mara, a proud native Texan, is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C). She has worked in healthcare for 20 years in multiple roles and settings.
Mara earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2011. She later earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2015. Upon graduation from UTA, Mara became an operating room nurse. During this time, Mara continued to serve her patients with a servants heart making sure they knew they would have her as their voice while they were asleep.
Realizing she wanted to have a greater and deeper impact with patients and their healthcare journey, Mara earned her Master of Science in Nursing in the family nurse practitioner program at University of Charleston-West Virginia. While doing her clinicals, Mara discovered her passion in women’s health and felt a calling to serve in an underserved area. To Mara, the greatest compliment a patient can give is to say they felt heard and seen while knowing she will advocate for her patients tirelessly.
In her spare time, Mara enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, and their blended family of four growing boys at the ball fields almost every weekend, reading and loving on her special pups…Ginger, Faith and Marlee.
